Youth Club

The Youth Club takes place every Friday from 7.00pm to 9.00pm in the Community Centre during the school term. Young people between the age of 11 and 16 from the entire local community are welcome to come. Due to its popularity, the club operates on a membership basis of up to 60 children supported by an adult youth leader on an adult/child ratio of 1/10. The purpose of the youth club is for young people to come together and have fun in a safe environment. Activities include outdoor football, netball, indoor table tennis, pool, table football, badminton and board games. The most important thing though is that young people are able to hang out and be themselves with their friends. Each year the club aims to organise outings such as ice skating, kayaking and bowling, as well as local visits such as the Ben Kinsell exhibition. The Youth Club also organises a lunch party for the parish senior citizens each year which helps encourage communication and understanding between generaions.

To put your child on the waiting list, please speak to any Youth Leader or to Father Gerard.
